Palazzo Littorio

The Palazzo Littorio in Camaiore was built in 1940.

During the CSR, the 'Palazzo' became the site of arrests and torture, in which Franco Casamassima and Ernesto Cirillo, commander of the Black Brigade, stood out.

Between 18 and 24 August 1944, eight people were killed in Camaiore as part of the roundups on the Gothic Line, including the town doctor, Dr. Carlo Romboni.

Six victims are commemorated on a plaque placed in 1954 on the exterior façade of the Palace.

Romboni and mechanic Giovannino Zucca also have a dedicated plaque in the Badia tombs.
