House Nune Ville has a great deal of history. During WW II, the family of minister Plug lived here. They hid a nineteen year old Jewish boy, Jaap van Cleef, in the attic for over two years. His old room is still on view. Furthermore, this house – which is furnished completely in a 19th-century style – is on view every Saturday because the girlfriend of Vincent van Gogh lived here.

In the attic, you will hear the thrilling story of the Jewish boy Jaap van Cleef, as he hid there for over two years. About his hiding place, his family history and events after his liberation. His little room is furnished in a WW II-period style.

Nune Ville is a 19th century villa situated next to the Domineeshuis, the local minister’s home in which Vincent van Gogh lived and had his workshop. His neighbour and girlfriend Margot Begemann lived in Nune Ville. You will learn about their special and dramatic love story. Most of the furniture, objects and paintings originate from their time. You will receive a guided tour through the salon, living room, attic with servant rooms, kitchen, laundry room and garden.
