The Victory Museum in Grootegast is dedicated to the liberation of the Northern Netherlands and the city of Groningen in particular.

In the Victory Museum, various parts from the Second World War are presented in interactive dioramas. In the museum you can find an English airfield, complete with twin-engine aircraft. A large D-Day diorama tells about the logistical challenge of the Red Ball Express. A Canadian liberation parade gives a taste of the atmosphere of liberation.

Attention is paid to the war and the liberation of the Northern Netherlands, and the city of Groningen in particular. The museum has its own documentation center where a lot of knowledge about the region can be found.

Countless small dioramas sketch daily facets of the war. Extra emphasis is placed on logistics and production of war resources during the war.

The museum can be visited on your own, and guided tours are possible by appointment. The Victory Museum is suitable for both adults and children. The building also houses a museum printing house and a LEGO museum, which can be visited with the same entrance ticket. For opening hours, see the Victory Museum 1940 - 1945 website.
